Pit Blocks 3D: How’s that controller support coming along?

Hi all, this is ThunderSoul again with an update regarding controller support!

Well guess what? It’s going great! Controller support has been fully implemented and we now fully support gamepads!

Yay for controllers! A game like Pit Blocks 3D could have definitely benefited from controllers as it was clearly requested in a review by Shock Site Gaming News that you can see here!

So that’s it for now, we are just very happy and excited to have full controller support. This will be a good plus for Pit Blocks 3D!

See you in my next blog!

Pit Blocks 3D: Gamepad Support!

I will be keeping this post short! This is an important update, however, so I feel I have to share it!

I have started working on adding GamePad support for Pit Blocks 3D. I have purchased what seems to be a common gamepad controller, the Logitech Gamepad F310.

This is the first gamepad I have ever owned. The first gamepad I have ever touched. I know, it’s going to be difficult to set it up and test the game with multiple controllers, since, of course, as a professional, the product must be of quality.

OK, that is all for now, thank you for reading!

See you in my next blog!

Pit Blocks 3D: What is happening nowadays?

Heya guys, ThunderSoul here with an update on Pit Blocks 3D development!

The demo and trailer have been released! Yay!

Now it’s time to work diligently on the next update for Pit Blocks 3D.

I still have to implement the environments! I am pretty much done with the Solar System environment. The Fantasy environment is next, then probably the Painted Forest environment. I’ll leave the Ice world and Lava world for last.

One other thing I’d like to work on is the camera and object collision. Right now the camera kinda goes through objects which I think limits player experience.

Well, that’s it for now!

See you in our next post and thank you for tuning in!

SRM Games: CSC

Hi all, ThunderSoul here with a quick update!

GREAT NEWS! We received our CSC today, and we tried it out! It was a bit difficult to get it going and we had to go back and forth with our Certificate Authority a little bit as well as with our intermediate authority due to more technical issues, but that’s OK! All is well that “ends” well!

We are just happy and proud to let you know that we have a CSC! For the demo, you will see our publisher information. Isn’t that great? 🙂

Thank you for tuning in!

SRM Games: Serious Business

Hi all, ThunderSoul is here with a hardcore development update for SRM Games’ Pit Blocks 3D!

Our April 18, 2018 deadline is fast approaching and we are more than excited to prepare for the release of the trailer and demo. In fact, that is the major reason why there hasn’t been a post in weeks!

We have been very busy acquiring a Code Signing Certificate (CSC), which apparently is quite hard to do for a start-up since we must prove we are a serious player in the business industry.

That entails quite a bit of work and a ton of phone calls on our end.

Thus, we are hoping we can get the CSC before April 18! If God-forbid that will not happen, have no fear! We are not going anywhere, we will push through, acquire the CSC, and release the trailer and demo as soon as possible!

See you in our next post!

Preview Times: Trailer and Demo

Hi all, this is ThunderSoul with a development update for SRM Games’ Pit Blocks 3D!

We are preparing to showcase the game with a trailer and a tutorial. We expect to release these two items by April 18, 2018, around noon EDT.

The trailer needs a bit of work, so we hired an acquaintance (same one that did our logo!) to make it a reality. The demo, on the other hand, is a work in progress that will be finished, polished, and tested within the next week.

Once the demo has been polished, we will focus on the delivery method as well as its aesthetics.

The main focus will be an installer for the demo and a Code Signing Certificate (CSC). The CSC is mainly important to identify the installer file as well as the game executable file as safe to run.

The CSC ensures that the our executables have been unaltered after compilation by a third party, such as a malicious entity. If the executables have been altered in any way, shape, or form, the CSC should alert the user that the executables are not safe to run. We recommend that you acquire our executables from a trustworthy source in order to avoid any potential harm to your machine, such as from the publisher’s website; in our case, that’s www.srmgames.com.

Please always make sure that your environment is well protected against outside threats! Never run an unknown or suspicious file!

See you in our next post!
